When will someone write the Dubliners life story, Ronnie, Luke, and Ciaran are dead and theres only John and Barney left of the original Dubliners. They were not just a ballad group, they were a way of life: they were Dublin , Ireland; and were world famous.
They were wonderfull musicians, unique. Luke Kelly what a voice; the power, the feeling; the man himself. Ronnie,that gravel voice, the trademark of the Dubliners. Barney who knows his sirname. everybody knows Barney of the Dubliners, Barney the banjo player, the little stool, he looks asleep, but he can’t be, the wonderfull music coming from that area. There’s only onen man can play like that and he is Barney Makenna. I am sure he could play it in his sleep, what a gifted man. Ciaran and John certainly unique and gifted.
